This 1959 example was shipped in June of 1959. Interestingly, it carries a Factory Order Number (FON) from 1958, which means that it stayed in the factory for quite a while.
The neck shape is more characteristic of 1958 models, quite chunky feeling. The guitar weighs 8lbs. 1oz.
The instrument has a rare double white PAF in the bridge position. It has been refretted and at one time was fitted with Schaller tuners, which have now been restored to original Kluson single-ring tuners.
The log shows this guitar, A30519, shipping on June 22, 1959.
