Here is an exceedingly rare Cherry 1959 ES-345 shared with us by an anonymous owner. The Cherry has faded beautifully to that almost Gretsch orange color.
Besides the fact that it is Cherry, there are several other items of note... 1) no stud holes, meaning this one was always inteneded to have a Bigsby, 2) gold knobs, most Cherry Gibsons have black knobs, 3) quite flamey maple, and 4) a 2-piece back.
All in all, a quite remarkable example.
