The Golden Era of the Gibson Thinlines

This is a late 1959 mono ES-355. The mono, non-Varitone versions of this guitar are rare and highly desirable.

Ebony fingrtboard with large block inlays, fancy Custom-style bound peghead, tortoise colored pickguard, 7-ply binding on the top, 3-ply on the back.

These are beautiful guitars, especially when, like this one, they have faed to a nice almost Gretsch-like orange color.
